Schedule: Mon-Fri 8AM-5PM

Salary: $80K-90K

TEC is recruiting for an Accounting Manager for a local manufacturer of marketing tools for the building materials industry.


Position Summary:

In this role as the Accounting Manager, you will be responsible for the daily oversight of the general accounting functions and staff. The Accounting Manager assists the CFO with all accounting and financial activities and reporting.


Responsibilities:

  • Provide day-to-day guidance to the accounting team
  • Assists the CFO in establishing and maintaining the organization's accounting principles, practices, procedures, and initiatives
  • Assist the CFO in the timely and accurate execution of multi-site monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting closes in accordance with GAAP
  • Oversee Accounts Payable process to ensure accuracy of all vouchers, cash disbursements and timely payment of invoices
  • Oversee Accounts Receivable process to ensure accuracy of all customer invoices, cash receipts and deposits
  • Oversee Fixed Asset accounting to ensure accurate capitalization, depreciation, and amortization of expenses in accordance with internal policies and procedures
  • Analyze and prepare inventory valuation reports; ensure accurate unit material costs; verify proper expense accruals; prepare final monthly absorption entries
  • Review and reconcile sub-ledgers (AR/AP/Fixed Assets), petty cash accounts, inventory, and other miscellaneous balance sheet accounts to General Ledger; identify and make correcting journal entries as required
  • Reconcile credit card statement with receipts and reports; monitor balances; administer and obtain new or replacement credit cards
  • Prepare capital expenditure financing requests to lending institution
  • Prepare inventory data sheet for inclusion in the borrowing base certification sheet
  • Prepare and oversee the preparation of financial reports including but not limited to: Shipments, Backlog, Flash, Performance dashboard and Direct/Indirect Labor reports
  • Prepare ad hoc financial reports including but not limited to Freight expense (cost vs invoicing), logistic analyses, travel expenses, R&M expense, and Sub-S
  • Assist in the proper record keeping and safeguarding of all assets
  • Act as Lead implementer and trainer of the organization’s ERP system
  • Other duties as assigned


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in accounting and/or 10 years related experience
  • Must be detailed, precise, and highly analytical
  • Must have a solid understanding of business and the manufacturing process
  • Knowledge of MS Office, Excel experience is a must
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50lbs
