TEC is recruiting for an Accounts Payable Specialist for a local non-profit. This member performs the daily Accounts Payable (AP) functions for this organization.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Process a high volume of vendor invoices daily, ensuring that they are coded to the correct property/entity in the Resman accounting system.
• Coordinate invoice coding and approval deadlines with Accounting, Development Team, and Property Management staff.
• Process weekly check run, and one-off check requests as needed
• Maintain vendor files including W-9’s for new vendors and insurance information
• Communicate with vendors to resolve any issues or address payment inquiries.
• Process vendor payments/disbursements weekly and the by the assigned deadline
• Process recurring payables and disbursements to team members and vendors
• Distribute fuel cards to Site Superintendents, collect receipts, and cross-reference charges with the correct receipts
• Reconcile monthly credit card statements, collect receipts, code charges to specific properties for payment based on the receipt received
• Print and submit annual 1099’s and associated 1096
• Understand the monthly AP closing process and impact on the Financials

Qualifications:

• Three or more years of Accounts Payable/Bookkeeping experience required
• Proficiency with spreadsheets, and Microsoft Office Software (Word & Excel)
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Exceptional organizational skills including multi-tasking, prioritization, and meeting high priority deadlines
• Strong Customer Service skills
• Excellent verbal & written communication abilities
