Part Time Bookkeeper Job Available in Lenox, MA

Salary: $25/hr - $35/hr (DOE)

Schedule:  Part-time, 20-24hrs/week.  (fully on-site or hybrid)

TEC is recruiting for our non-profit client who is seeking a Bookkeeper to join its Administrative and Finance team. This will be a part-time (20-24 hours/week) employee whose primary responsibility is as the organization’s bookkeeper. This position will report to the Director of Finance and Administration and can be a fully on-site or hybrid role with at least one day per week in the office. QuickBooks Online proficiency is required. 


Specific responsibilities include: 

  • Maintain accurate and timely financial records using QuickBooks Online accounting software 
  • Run bi-weekly payroll using Paychex and incorporating time allocations as needed 
  • Pay bills weekly, work with vendors to manage vendor accounts and resolve issues 
  • Preparation and filing of state forms 
  • Consult with human resources and onboarding as requested 
  • Consult with staff as needed for approval of invoices and work with staff to manage allocation  of at times, complex expenses across grants 
  • Manage monthly reconciliation of accounts including bank and investment reconciliations 
  • Collaborate with Director of Finance on maintaining up to date corporate records, management reporting and efficient workflows 
  • Work in partnership with Director of Finance on quarterly Finance Committee reporting and annual audit requirements 
  • Attend weekly Staff Meeting


Qualifications:

  • Proficiency with office software, including MS Office and Zoom 
  • QuickBooks Online proficiency is required 
  • Experience with Paychex payroll and timekeeping a plus 
  • Persistence in problem-solving 
  • Attention to detail 
  • High personal ethics
