IT Project Engineer - (Level 2-3)

Salary: $65k - $75k, Direct Hire

Schedule: Mon.-Fri., 8a-5p (some weeknight/weekend work may be necessary)

Our Client is a leading provider of managed IT services, serving small to mid-sized clients throughout the northeast from our base in the beautiful Berkshire Hills of western Massachusetts for 34 years.

Job Role & Duties May include:

• Involvement in IT project work which can include the deployment or upgrade of technology solutions
• Microsoft Server deployments and creation of virtual server environments using VMware
• Networking, WAN and remote connectivity deployment and configuration
• Deployment of backup and disaster recovery solutions
• Deployment of security solutions
• Microsoft Azure deployment and configuration
• Build and maintain documentation and work instructions around solutions, technologies, and client environments
• Network Administration / proactive technical alignment duties
• Tracking and managing project tickets and project schedules
• Accurately tracking time and documenting work

Requirements

• Experience with commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within information technology support in a Windows environment
• Experience with Windows Server Technology and Microsoft OS and Office products
• Experience implementing and maintaining highly virtualized environments with VMWare
• Knowledge of TCP/IP, network routing, firewall functions (NAT), including basic understanding of common protocols such as HTTP(S), RDP, DNS, SMTP, etc.
• Experience with Active Directory, Virtualization, VOIP, DNS, DHCP, etc
• Experience with Microsoft Azure
• Experience with Microsoft 365 deployment, conversion and configuration
• Experience with Datto, Meraki, Connectwise Manage, IT Glue, Liongard, HP, hardware and Connectwise Automate desirable
• Project Management experience desirable
• Attention to detail, process-oriented, and customer-focused
• Relevant industry certifications are highly desirable
• 5+ years experience as a working IT professional
• Ability to manage multiple projects, set priorities, meet deadlines, and work within a team
• Strong communication skills, professional appearance and positive attitude
